“It’s Finally OVER!!” (fiction)

The detective was at the table with the suspect interrogating him.

“Its true. What you said is true. After he stole my car I had to get back at him. I always hated him. I had a rent a car I had not brought back and was going to keep but then HE got it.

He had done all sorts of things to me. I always hated him. That is why I killed him. But others knew about all that and I was sleepign scared every night they were going to find me. So I kept killing to keep the secret.

Finally, finally though, you caught me and now this whole nightmare is over. Its true, I did kill him. I confess, the secret is out, the crime has been solved, and no longer does the coverup need to continue, nor longer do I have anything to hide.

Its all over now, Finally.

As a child Edward Donegan sometimes feared being stuck on ski lifts. Or dangling from one able to keep the grip.

Isn’t it easier to let go, to give in to it?

Or do you keep holding on even living in the fear.

For some, getting caught is being out of the nightmare situation.

I think some are continuing crime because they have neither fallen nor gotten back up onto the ski left, and still dangling, are desparte.

The solution to the crime is brining criminals to justice.
