I was in the Austin Central Public Library sixth floor “comfort zone” you might call it, some say it has a living room furnishing; that is a pretty good description, a den is another, comforatble chair, near the books and office equipment, chargers, things like that.
We had a Den that was the first room down the hall from the entranceway of 52 Lambeth Square, Moraga, California.
One whole wall was books. A set of hook shelves were along the wall, the wall shared with Tom’s bedroom next room down, in the closet was piles of boxes with tax returns data, the papers and affects of Glorand And James Donegan, office machines and a dictaphone with a Crystal Micraphone and adding machine, rolls of tape, a nice living room style lamp, and a couch to read on.
On the 6th floor of this den or living room like space a person told me there was a difference between “cover” and “concealment.”
I meet many genisius in the homeless comunity. He also told me a civilian (not ex-military) would never know the difference.
He might be right. I first learned about the idea at least when I was about 10 years or so, about the same time, from two sources, I don’t know which was first.
My father had told me in his RECON flying training about being in enemy territory and what he was told to do.
Obviously he would want a safe place and I will say putting a word in his mouth cover, like behind a rock formation.
If that was not available he was trained to conceal himself as best he could. That meant putting hands in pockets, arms close in, legs closed, face downward or away, but not too suspicious.
In terrain things like hands, faces, and human form tend to be picked up by others fairly quickly, so keep those minimized and also try to be in shadows.
My uncle Harold had similar stories. THey were trying to hide in trees while dear hunting, wearing camoflouge clothes, etc., and some moron would come wearing after shave.
50 Yards away or more dear would aproach, take a whiff, and run.
They may have been behind cover, but they were not concealing themsleves.
Long before I left for Austin this time late 2022 I had put in my book an article on stalkers, predators, and hunting and that article went into cover versus concealment.
It is also relevant to JFK and whether hiding behind nearby cement from the picket fence might have been an option for the snipers working from behind the picket fence, a fence no cover from incoming fire.
But again I go to Stalking.
Stalkers don’t CONCEAL themselves. Just the opposite they prove themselves to be a threat by making very personal references and comments meant to be in some way hostile, abusive, or provocative.
The do have COVER, they pretend to be part of the daily fabric of life. They are not. They are provocateurs and engaging in abusive behavior, scams, trickery, harassments, or other activities while under cover as normal patrons of a library, etc.,
Most have been hoping for a fight with me, and even trying to make library usage impossible without first fighting them.
I try to block them out and live by “Live and Let Live” and just stay focus and undistracted, and out of fights.
Another genius I met was trying to inform me of his genius in firearms and forensics, and I was trying to shut him up the the level of granularity he wanted to prove his genius to me with was beyond what I needed or wanted or would be useful to me.
IN fact rather than talking to him I found in reading Lisa Pease’s book A Lie To Big To Fail a well sourced story that led me to believe a Belgiun NATO rifle was used by the Hobos, not an M2
I did learn a lot from that guy, but people who depend on their genius miss the genius of others, like Lisa Pease and James DiEugenio.
I have ADHD, I listen poorly, I am pretty smart and make a fool out of myself in many ways. In fact like Marylin Monroe I suspect humility, or struggling for it, is my best safety because I error so much.
So maybe thanks to ADHS and Dyslexia and other failures of myself here and there that make a normal mix of failings and good and bad like everyone else, them their own mix of them.
