Back in New Orleans. The intrigue gets juicier, but let us backtrack to pick up a few Hansel-and-Gretel breadcrumbs that were dropped in New Orleans before Lee Harvey moved to Dallas. Howard Hunt was the CIA person who helped establish the anti-Castro Cuban Revolutionary Council (CRC). 83 It was located in the Newman building, the same place where a man named Guy Banister had offices—54
Camp Street in New Orleans. This was the same address Oswald used when he passed out his Fair Play for Cuba leaflets.84 But wait! Something does not make sense. Guy Banister was a former FBI agent who started his own private detective agency. He had strong CIA-FBI and House-Un-American-Activities connections. 85 He also had contacts with Mafia figures Carlos Marcello and Johnny Roselli, the latter of whom paid him a few visits too, so says Trump’s data-dump. 86 But, primarily, Banister was a devout anti-communist and right-wing, John Birch Society supporter of anti-Castro exiles. All sorts of anti-Castro Cubans came through his offices. 87
But here was Lee Harvey Oswald passing out pro-Castro leaflets using the same address at 544 Camp St. 88 It is not only we who are flummoxed but so was Banister’s secretary, Delphine Roberts. She asked Banister why leftist Oswald was coming to their offices so much. He said “He’s with us!” Ms. Robert’s daughter today also says Oswald frequently came to Banister’s office too. 89 There were 6 new documents released about a CIA agent, William Gaudet. In these Gaudet said he saw Oswald in deep conversation with Banister near the post office. 90 91 Another figure, Jack Martin, an associate of Banister, also said he saw Oswald in Banister’s office.92 So there are four witnesses linking Oswald to right-wing, anti-Castro connected Guy Banister, and we must respectfully ask two questions: (1) Was Guy Banister grooming Oswald to infiltrate and report on left-wing groups? That was one of Banister’ specialties. 93 Or (2) is it possible Oswald was developing pro-Castro credentials as a foil for anti-Castro activities with Banister and Howard Hunt’s Cuban Revolutionary Council? 94
